The Endless Pursuit of Self.

I have more books than I’ll ever probably read. In all honesty I make just enough time to read a chapter a day in any book. So, with that being said that’s about 12 books a year, 110 books in ten years. I own about 500 books so… I probably won’t read them all so I suppose I should be considerate of what I do read.

All right, it’s not quite this bad, but it’s up there. . .

Book Reviews

Marcus Aurelius leads his people onward on horseback.

One of the most important books I’ve ever read.

The thing about the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius is that it has served as a companion for the past several years of my life. It is one of those books I’ve turned to read over and over again.

It gives me a sense of peace and solidarity within myself. I’ve read through it more times than I can recall, and I know for the rest of my life it won’t be far from my reach.
