“Francis is really good with children, I heard she used to raise countless children back in her heyday. Someone once asked her how large her extended family is, and she replied Over a thousand! Do you think that’s really possible?!” -Sophia Leitner

African woman with warm eyes and a warm smile. A portrait that exhibits warmth.

She’ll often lean her head out of her apartment window and quietly laugh to herself at all of the gossip she hears on the summer nights from the various tenets.

Francis resides on the Fifth Floor, room E5.

"The greatest wealth is to be wise child..." Francis Attah spoke to Claudine Berkshire from her chair looking out the window of her apartment to the Parisians down below.

"All these people down below? You see them there? They move for money, fame, success..."

Claudine slowly approached the window peering out to see the metropolis of Paris moving in its natural motions.

"What's so wrong with that?"

"They follow their master’s ass! Who needs wisdom if one has money, fame, success?! That's what people think but is it their child?! Every soul is a slave who searches for something to gain!"

Claudine stepped back, startled by the midwife's lecture of the world, however then the woman smiled warmly. "You are much too young, but old enough to know truth when you hear it, of this I am certain."

She looked deep into Claudine's eyes and spoke from the heart.

"You must be like the Queen of Sheba girl, all the wealth of the world at her fingertips, but she was wise enough to know it was not supreme. To not be subject to wealth, a crown, and idolatry. Wisdom child, only by wisdom can one rule the world. How it is ruled, that is the substance of it..."

"Claudine!

Mrs. Berkshire called in the distance, pulling Claudine from the woman’s stare. Then at once she gave the warmest smile and spoke. "Go be with your mother child, and remember, rule your life with wisdom, and you will be a Queen among men!"
